| 01/08/09 | Miracor appoints Dr. Oliver A. Kohr as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Miracor today announced the expansion of its management team by appointing Dr. Oliver A. Kohr as Chief Technology Officer. Dr. Kohr has more than 20 years experience in medical device development and design. After completing his studies at Stuttgart University in Germany, he received a Fulbright Scholarship for studies at the Michigan Technological University. He has worked for more than 10 years at leading universities such as Stanford University, Medical School Hannover and the University of Hannover where he earned his PhD degree. Dr. Kohr then joined Ionto-Comed as Technical Director developing various new devices for skin- and muscle-treatment. In 1998 he joined the Klaschka Company Group where his team developed class 2a and 2b medical devices for neuromuscular stimulation, low-power lasers and customer specific sensors. In 2008 he joined Schaerer Medical contributing to a successful turn-around. Jon H. Hoem, Miracor CEO, commented: “We have searched extensively for the right person to fill our CTO position. Oliver’s academic and commercial experience combined with his personal drive will be extremely important as we continue to develop the PICSO technology for the future. I look forward working with him to ensure that we reach our short and long-term development objectives.” |
