Delta Partners is a venture capital firm investing in Ireland and the United Kingdom. It was established in 1994 and has €230 million under management. The firm has a strong focus on investing in early stage technology companies, and the team has made over 50 investments in the following sectors: Information Technology; Communications; and, Healthcare. Delta Partners is among the most active early stage investors in Europe. SHS Gesellschaft für Beteiligungsmanagement, founded in Tübingen in 1993, offers finance and advice for innovative companies in new industries, especially in the healthcare and life sciences sectors. The companies SHS invest in must have market-ready products or technologies. With their current investment funds, SHS holds around 120 million euro of investment capital. The chief partners are the former McKinsey consultants Bernhard Schirmers and Reinhilde Spatscheck, and Hubertus Leonhardt, former Corporate Finance Project Leader at Arthur Andersen.
Austria Wirtschaftsservice (aws) is Austria’s national government promotional bank and support scheme. As a one-stop-shop it is set to implement the Austrian government’s economic policies. Created in 2002 by pooling the knowledge of four existing promotional schemes it represents a highly professional intermediary which offers a broad range of company-related investment assistance programmes, services and financing – from the pre-seed up to the expansion and internationalisation stages.
aws works in close cooperation with international financial institutions and European partner organisations. Furthermore aws is a member of the Network of European Financial Institutions for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (NEFI) and the European Association of Mutual Guarantee Societies (AECM).

The Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) is the national funding institution for applied industrial research in Austria. FFG offers a comprehensive range of services for Austrian enterprises, research institutions and researchers – from the management of public funding programs to consulting services in all phases of technology development and innovation, from support for integration into European research programs and networks to the promotion of Austria’s interests at the European and the international level. FFG has supported Miracor with a research grant for Miracor’s development activities.
The Academic Business Incubator INiTS offers support, advice and funding for academics who are aiming to start up their own company. INiTS has assisted Miracor in the initial phases of the company formation and development.
