Olivier Delporte is an international executive with 20 years of sales, marketing and general management experiences, mostly in the medical devices industry.
Prior to joining Miracor, he was Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, OUS at PneumRx (acquired by BTG in 2015) and before this he led the commercial operations of Tryton Medical in Europe, Middle-East and Africa, as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Prior to Tryton Medical he held management positions at Guidant and Abbott Vascular. Olivier has studied and worked in the US, France, Spain, and Belgium. He is a director of Endotools Therapeutics.
Olivier earned a Masters Degree in Business from the Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium, and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
CTO / Managing Director
Lars has more than 20 years of experience in the medical device industry. After graduation from the Technical University of Eindhoven, the Netherlands where he studied (Medical) Electrical Engineering and Information Technology he started working as a lead embedded software engineer for a company (BTU Technology Unlimited) designing and building high tech computer controlled industrial machines.
Lars started his medical technology career at the Leiden University Laboratory for Clinical and Experimental Image Processing, where he was responsible for a group of researchers in the field of cardiovascular image processing.
This university research group as a whole commercialized into Medis Medical Imaging Systems BV, a company that has developed and commercialized leading quantitative software products for Angiography, Computer Tomography, Intravascular Ultrasound and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) primarily for cardiology.
Lars has acted as Operational Manager for 5 years before taking the Vice President Corporate Technology and Support role. He has been responsible for research, development, technical as well as commercial challenges in various leading roles within Medis before joining Miracor.
Dr. Roger Kessels
Roger has 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry working in clinical research as well as national and international sales & marketing positions.
His career in clinical research started in 2003 when he joined Medtronic as Senior Scientist and Clinical Research Manager at the Medtronic Bakken Research Institute in the Netherlands. He was involved in preclinical as well as clinical research as a scientist and later managed the research group.
Before he joined Miracor, Roger worked for Vessix Vascular Inc. as their Clinical Research Manager. He was responsible for the clinical activities for the Vessix renal denervation technology in Europe. Vessix was acquired by Boston Scientific in November 2012.
Roger studied Biology at the University in Utrecht, the Netherlands, and he holds a PhD in Medicine from the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
Vice President Regulatory, QA & US Operations
Kimberlie has more than 20 years of international pharmaceutical and medical device experience with a focus on cardiovascular therapies. She has held leadership roles in clinical, regulatory and quality for early stage, mid-stage and large organizations.
Prior to joining Miracor, Kim was Vice President of Clinical, Regulatory & Quality for Mitralign, Inc. where she was responsible for all clinical programs, achieving CE Mark and US Early Feasibility approvals for their mitral and tricuspid valve repair therapy. Kim’s experience also includes 13 years with Medtronic where she held several roles in the Regulatory and Clinical Affairs organizations for the Coronary and Endovascular Therapies businesses.
Kim received her Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, a Master’s degree in Drug Regulatory Affairs & Health Policy from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and her MBA from the Van Loan School of Management at Endicott College.
